Capturing Mr Beebs in a Custom Tabby Cat Sculpture

The story behind our latest custom project

We recently had the joy of creating a custom Tabby cat sculpture for a very special feline named Mr Beebs. He’s a handsome, dark-orange Tabby cat with a soft black nose and a calm, regal charm.

His owner sent us several old, slightly blurry photos—some of him standing, some sitting, and one of him lying down. The moment we saw that lounging pose, we knew it was the perfect way to preserve his personality forever in a Tabby cat figurine.

Why this Tabby cat sculpture means so much

How we brought Mr Beebs to life in clay

We started by mapping out the lounging pose and sketching the main body lines in clay. Every curve of the spine, the gentle tuck of his paws, and the tilt of his head was carefully refined.

Using fine sculpting tools, we recreated his subtle fur texture before hand-painting the orange and darker tabby markings. It was important to get the flow of his stripes just right—soft around the face, more defined along the back, and lighter on the belly.

Once the custom pet figurine was finished, we filmed a short packaging video. We added a special greeting card with Mr Beebs’s name so that unboxing would feel like a personal moment for his owner.
